Avatar quotes
Avatar, the new film by James Cameron, is breaking box office records around the world. There is good reason for the film’s success – it uses state of the art special effects and computer graphics to create a comic book feel within a world which looks so real you can almost step inside. Sometimes funny, sometimes touching and sometimes downright thrilling – the movie has it all.
The soundtrack of Avatar also stands head and shoulders above its rivals, with stirring melodies and huge orchestral numbers which help the story rush along with an urgency and excitement which is unmatched in the sci-fi genre to this point.
There is also the small issue of the story, a fantastic mixture of love between star-crossed lovers, the sci-fi punch of Aliens and the epic mixture of characters and storylines that rivals Lord of the Rings.
There is certainly a ‘Middle Earth’ feel about some of the scenes, especially those where the mountains of the country are shown in the backdrop – but when we enter the jungles of the planet the real beauty is revealed. It is almost a seamless transition between computer generated graphics and real life, and the budget that was spent on Avatar (which has already been recouped, less than two weeks into the cinema run) was clearly well spent.

But the unsung hero of Avatar is surely the screenplay. Written by James Cameron himself, his feeding of classic quotes and lines to Jake Sully shows his amazing ability to give the audience and the world, across racial and national divides, exactly what they want.
If you want to be able to find Avatar quotes and sayings you can now have a look at a new website which has been set up specifically to cater to your desire. It not only has Jake Sully’s words, but also those of Grace, Neytiri and the rest of the all-star Avatar cast.
If you’ve already seen the 3D version of Avatar, or even the iMax version then you will no-doubt be keen to relive the experience by checking out these quotations, which are a mixture of humorous, touching and exciting.
If you enjoyed Cameron’s Avatar, then you will certainly enjoy looking at those Avatar quotes, and if you have some more that you’d like to see on that site I believe you can add them in the comments section – so get writing!

Silhouettes
I just thought I’d post you these, I mentioned them last night but they needed brushing up today:

These are some silhouette portraits of Emery’s immediate family. Some of these you won’t have seen before at all, even if they’ve been mentioned:
Top: Verity and Michael Hall (Mum and Dad)
Bottom: Emery and Reuben (Brother)I’m probably going to use more of these/bigger versions as part of the character section, so let me know what you think :)
I know it’s a bit old fashioned–even for them–so it’s mainly for my own amusement, I guess the ‘family’ significance is personal; there’s been two tiny silhouette portraits hanging on the wall of me and my sister ever since I can remember…

Wandless Wonder

Forgive me, I’m sorry I have not posted for so long and that Mathema is taking me so long to get back on track. But… as I hope you’ll see from the stuff below, the comic is still definitely on it’s way :)
Between working long hours on other projects trying to stabilize and self-doubt after deciding to rehash Mathema, working on the comic itself became some what of a guilty pleasure.
I am really enjoying a lot of the other work that has come forward but it’s got to the point that if I don’t get my own ‘dream-project’ back on schedule I’m gonna go nuts….
….It’s still there in my head all the time, I just want to tell someone what happens!!! ahhhh!!I know people have probably found more exciting things to do since my last post (like, I dunno, watching paint dry… grass grow, that kind of gig) but when Mathema goes up I’ll re-advertise it a bit, as a reminder ;)
May: Mathema will go up in May whatever it takes – there now you have a scale that isn’t just ‘soon’
(only because I am booked all hours ’til the end of this month..)Below are some of the new pages ;) yes it’s only bits of the story you’ve already seen, but first posting on the site will include new-story pages. (Ooo! lol)
I’ve pushed the style more towards the character book-pages, after trying several things this is really what I enjoy most :) I hope you guys will too…
Let me know what you think:Look at that! You’ve even got a preview of the site – if it’s any consolation I have been paying for the Mathema url and web space since November ;)
